Group project for Art 434: Advanced Interface Design Class.
Group Members: Jenny Chen. Vicky Garcia. Aristides Milan. Jeniffer Satz.
Our class was divided into groups to create several applications that can be used during the pandemic. My team worked together to create a place where you and your friends can easily spend time together.
Chatunes is a user-friendly application that features music and video functions, our goal is to allow users to talk with their friends and have the option of videoing them while listening to music.
Deliverables: Logo. Affinity maps. Personas. Wireframes. Prototypes. UI. Testing Report
RESEARCH
Affinity Maps
We conducted multiple observational studies and interviews to determine the need for a music-video application and the users' mental models.
Personas
We created 4 personas to help us visualize the users, including a child, teen, young adult, and adult.

TESTING
There were multiple rounds of testing done at each design iteration. Some of the issues we encountered were user mental models and keeping the layout simple.
There was some bias because we knew those people who tested and saw our app.

Based on our results from the usability testing, we were able to make the app more user-friendly. We made some changes, including a form that fits the mental model of other apps and keeping the layout simple.
