Depression
Year: 2020
Service: Motion Design
Role: Motion Designer
Tools Used: After Effects, Illustrator
Project Description: Designed and animated a short awareness video focusing on depression as a misunderstood and often invisible mental health condition. The video aimed to challenge common misconceptions, such as the idea that physical strength equals emotional strength, and to encourage empathy, active listening, and support for those struggling with depression.
Visual Concept: The visual narrative juxtaposes external appearances with internal emotions, using symbolic imagery to convey contrast: strong bodies with cracked interiors, and smiling faces hiding storms.

Color Palette: Muted black and white to represent sadness and isolation. Impactful and bold red for the key statement, "depression can lead to suicide."
Typography: Clean font for narration captions.
Illustration Style: Minimalist and expressive line work to emphasize universal emotion and allow viewers to project their interpretations.
Animation Style: Smooth transitions and subtle kinetic text to maintain emotional tone and engagement without overwhelming the message.
Narrative Focus: Educates viewers on the clinical aspects of depression. Highlights societal misconceptions, such as judging by appearance or dismissing emotional pain. Encourages compassion through action: listening, understanding, and supporting without judgment.
✿ If you feel depressed or you're reluctant to seek treatment, talk to a friend or loved one, any health care professional, or someone you trust.
