This cookbook features 16 authentic Chinese food recipes, which selects from Cantonese, Fujian, Sichuan, and Shandong cuisines.
Historically, there were 4 traditional Chinese cuisines; however, the list is expanded to 8 traditions in modern times. Each cuisine is distinctive due to resource availability, climate, geography, history, cooking methods, and lifestyles.
The scarlet color is one of the traditional Chinese colors, and the continuous line drawings also symbolically show the Chinese knots.
